Whatever happens around you, and within you, you want to always react with compassion. Towards yourself and others.
Read on, and find a free compassion meditation for you to get started.
What is compassion:
Compassion is more than sympathy and empathy. It also involves the motivation to offer help and support.
Compassion requires courage and an inner strength, so that we can face the pain in ourselves or others, and be with it.
When we are compassionate, we are aware of the painful emotions. And we can act on these with kindness.
When we show compassion, we strengthen our relationship with others.
Compassion is a capability we all have within us, and we can use compassion meditations to make it a part of our behaviour.
Mindfulness practices in general are also great for practicing compassion.
No one can go through life without expiring negativity, pain and suffering. When it we meet it, in ourselves and others, we can either distance ourselves, blame others and shut it out or we can recognise it, listen to it, understand it and offer our love and support in whatever way possible for us.
Simply just being aware of the emotions and reacting with compassion will make you and others feel better and stronger.
How can you be compassionate:
You were born with compassion, you already have it with you. You just need to strengthen it, so that it becomes natural to you. Something that you just are, without even thinking about it.
This is where we can help.
When you practice meditation, you inevitably train your compassion. And in OliOli Meditation, you’ll find several guided meditations focusing on compassion.
So, to help you practice compassion towards yourself and others, we wanna share a FREE compassion meditation by Chris Germer, clinical psychologist and co-developer of the Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) program.
And please, feel free to share it with others as well. The world needs compassion 💗
